Purple Lounge poker launches seventh language London - 29 November, 2006
Due to the rapid geographical expansion of the online poker market, Purple Lounge, the world's most exclusive online poker room and casino, has now launched it's website in seven languages. Purple Lounge has taken these steps to ensure it caters to the increasingly wide range of countries its poker players originate from.
In order to meet the increasing demands of poker players worldwide, Purple Lounge software is now available for download in French, Spanish, Italian and English as well as the website being available to view in all four languages. Alongside this, the site is also available to view in Japanese, Chinese, and Turkish. Now poker players have the opportunity to play poker online in the comfort of their respective language.
Chris Gorman , Chairman of Purple Lounge felt the changes were necessary. He says “Our players come from all over world and we want our site to reflect their needs. Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world so it made sense we should offer it as a language option in the software. We're offering Italian as the market for Italian players is about to undergo some interesting changes. With the legalisation of online gambling in Italy imminent, it seemed a natural step for us to make Italian available. And with the French language being widely spoken, not just in Europe , the addition of French software completes our offering, for the moment.”
Chris Gorman , believes the changes can only benefit Purple Lounge players. He adds “In addition to providing the software in three new languages, the Chinese, Japanese and Turkish websites are our first steps towards offering our Eastern players the same depth of content and ease of play as their Western counterparts.”

The FHM Norway/Purple Lounge poker tour has come to an end, and Aylar has successfully led a team of stunning models, turned card dealers around the country to deal at a series of poker tournaments. The Norwegian FHM/Purple Lounge poker tour kicked off in August in Oslo and culminated in the grand final on September 22 nd . With a team of Scandinavian FHM beauties fully trained to deal the cards at each tournament, it has been the tour of the moment that everyone has wanted an invitation to. Players have travelled from as far as the US , Wales , Greece and Denmark to take part!
Purple Lounge took the chance to invite applications from those who felt their beauty, charm sophistication and poker skills would stand the challenge of being the new face of Purple Lounge. Following a raft of applicants, the field was whittled down to a final nine that cut the grade and t he judges made the tough decision. The panel was comprised of Simon Trumper; professional poker player, Glen Francis; Director of All in Poker Events and Julia Wild ; Marketing Director of Purple Lounge.

The search is on for the new face of Purple Lounge London - 8th September 2006
The heat is on as poker and casino site Purple Lounge scours high and low to find the new face of Purple Lounge. To date, after a raft of applicants, the field has been whittled down to a final nine girls that cut the grade.
Now the final pool of talent has been selected, all that remains is for the winner to be chosen. The nine finalists will join the Purple Lounge team at the concluding tournament of the FHM Norway/Purple Lounge poker tour which has been running very successfully for the past few weeks. On September 22nd , the tour will conclude at Club Mosquitoes, in the heart of Oslo, bringing together 36 hopeful poker players, all aiming to win this prestigious tournament and the trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas.
During the course of the evening, nine Nordic beauties will also be gunning for another prestigious title - the new face of Purple Lounge. The judges will be looking not just for beauty but class, sophistication, glamour and of course, a love of poker. In order to test their skills, the girls will take part in a beauty contest, a game of poker and a quiz. The panel of judges, comprised of Simon Trumper; professional poker player, Glen Francis; Director of All in Poker Events and Julia Wild; Marketing Director of Purple Lounge, will have the task of selecting the winner.
Simon Trumper has a thorough knowledge of the poker world from his experience playing professional poker for over ten years and will put this to use as judge for the evening. He is ably assisted in the judging process by Glen Francis, Director of All in Poker Events. With years of experience playing at, dealing at and managing poker events, Glen is no stranger to spotting poker talent. And finally, Julia Wild Marketing Director at Purple Lounge will use her marketing expertise to ensure the winner ticks all the right boxes for Purple Lounge.
Aylar, one of Norway 's top models has been one of the lucky few to make it into the last group of girls competing for the title. Aylar recently trained as a poker dealer and is a dab hand with the cards, often playing (and winning) herself. She's hoping to prevail in her efforts to win the title on September 22 nd but faces stiff competition from the remaining eight girls!
