About
Five-Card Stud Poker has four rounds of betting. It is the oldest form of Stud Poker and is still enjoyed by many Players that consider themselves purists.
The object of the game is to finish with the best poker hand and win the pot.
Two to eight Players can play Five-Card Stud Poker at one time.
How to play:
Place an ante on the table
Each Player is dealt two cards, one pocket card and one card face-up
The Player with the lowest card showing by suit must start the betting. Note: Suits are ranked from low to high - Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades
In the second round, another card is dealt face-up to all Players at the table
A round of betting follows. Players can either call, fold or raise
This process continues until each Player has one hole card and four face-up cards
After the last face-up card is dealt to each Player, a final round of betting follows. Remaining Players display their hole card. The highest hand wins
Watch your opponents' visible cards. If a Player's face-up cards at any point beat your entire hand, it is better to fold. And you can see if any card that you need to complete a winning hand is already taken by another Player
