How to Play

The objective of Video Poker is to receive the highest ranked five card poker hand possible. The game is based on the classic Five Card Stud and it challenges the player to build the best possible five-card hand. The player is dealt five cards and has the option of discarding any or all of the cards. If a player chooses to discard a card or several cards then new cards are dealt to replace them.

Payoffs are based on a scale, paying players for hands as low as a pair of tens or Jacks all the way up to a Royal Flush. Like our slot machines, the Video Poker machines are available in many denominations.

If the hand you are playing is a winning poker hand, you will see that the win is highlighted on the payout table. The payout table is based on the number of coins you have chosen to bet before the first deal.

You then have the choice to Double or Collect your winnings. If you choose the “Collect” button then you will be paid the amount that is stated in the “Win” box. If however you decide you wish to Double then you will be taken to the next phase. The aim of the “Double” is to draw a higher card than the Dealer. 5 new cards will be dealt and the Dealer's card will be shown face up. The player then needs to choose one of the 4 cards (these are faced down). If the card you have chosen is better than that of the dealer's then you have won and your original payout is doubled. You can then choose to Double again or take your winnings.

When you log into your account and have chosen the game you wish to play you will need to:

•  Press Deal to Start the Game. A decision hand of 5 cards will appear in the play area. There is no bet riding on the decision hand.

•  Decide which cards to hold in the decision hand, then press DRAW

•  IF you are playing let's say the 100 play multi hand video poker then the decision hand will be greyed out and one hundred additional hands of 5 cards each will now be dealt, each from a separate deck and each containing the cards that were held in the first decision hand

•  If you win you will be allowed to DOUBLE or COLLECT your winnings.

•  Once you have collected your winnings you can begin another hand by pressing DEAL

Here are some common winning combinations in draw poker starting from the highest:

  1. Five of a Kind - 4 cards of the same value, as well as a Wild Card.
  2. Royal Flush - 5 consecutive cards, all of the same suit, the 1st card being 10 and the last card being an ace.
  3. Straight Flush - 5 consecutive cards, all of the same suit.
  4. Four of a Kind - 4 cards of the same value.
  5. Full House – 3 cards of the same value and 2 cards of the same value
  6. Flush - 5 non-consecutive cards of the same suit, not dependent on value.
  7. Straight - 5 consecutive cards going by card value, not of the same suit.
  8. Three of a Kind - 3 cards of the same value.
  9. Two Pair - 2 sets of pairs of the same value.
  10. A Pair – a pair of cards of the same value.
